Dr. Joyce Sexton

Au.D., CCC-A

Passionate about helping people hear, Dr. Joyce Sexton started Northern Hearing Services in 1988. She had worked as an audiologist for Anchorage School District since 1983 and felt that quality private audiological services were needed for adults in the community as well as for children. Dr. Sexton received her Bachelor of Science from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, a Master’s degree from University of Montana and her Doctor of Audiology degree from AT Still University in Arizona. Outside of work Dr. Sexton enjoys reading, cross-country skiing, running, biking, hiking, and spending time with family.

Dr. Jess Voigt

Au.D., CCC-A

Dr. Jess Voigt, joined Northern Hearing Services in 1999. She is an Alaska state licensed clinical audiologist and a certified member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. Dr. Voigt received her Bachelor of Science from Abilene Christian University in Texas, a Master of Science in Audiology from the University of Wisconsin and her Doctorate in Audiology from Salus University. Dr. Voigt enjoys helping patients of all ages hear better. Specializing in Cochlear Implants, she was an integral part of establishing the Alaska Cochlear Implant Network in 2003. Outside of the clinic she enjoys family, friends, her local school and church communities, and exploring Prince William Sound.

Dr. Shea Long

Au.D., CCC-A

Dr. Shea Long joined Northern Hearing Services in September, 2020. Dr. Long earned her doctorate in audiology from Utah State University. Treating the full scope of hearing loss via evaluation and management, Dr. Long holds additional expertise in cochlear implants. She loves her new home in Alaska and is so thankful to her patients for welcoming her to this wonderful state. Outside of work, Dr. Long enjoys traveling, exploring with her adventure pup Stanley, crafting, music, climbing, and trying new foods.

Dr. Caitlyn Ritter

Au.D., CCC-A

Northern Hearing Services welcomed Dr. Caitlyn Ritter to the practice in September 2021. She achieved her Bachelor of Science from James Madison University and her Doctorate in Audiology from Utah State University with an emphasis in Listening and Spoken Language (LSL). Dr. Ritter specializes in pediatric audiology, providing diagnoses and management of hearing disorders in children of all ages. Dr. Ritter provides services to children and families in both the Anchorage and Wasilla office locations. Outside of work, Dr. Ritter enjoys hiking, backpacking, camping, traveling, and reading.

Dr. Goldie Pappan Hall

Au.D.

Dr. Goldie Pappan Hall, Au.D., is a clinical audiologist passionate about providing evidence-based, compassion-driven hearing healthcare. Dr. Goldie specializes in customized amplification solutions, diagnostic audiology across the lifespan, tinnitus management and hearing conservation. She has lived and worked in Alaska since 2018 and loves the community here. Despite her strong family roots in Kansas, she aspires to be truly Alaskan. Dr. Goldie is a proud Jayhawk—she earned her bachelor’s and doctorate degrees from The University of Kansas Medical Center. As a doctoral student, Dr. Goldie had the privilege to complete a traineeship focused on providing care to individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders and other complex needs. Dr. Goldie excels in serving patients with complex needs. Outside of work, Dr. Goldie can be found hiking, kayaking, traveling to remote Alaska, cross country skiing, reading or cooking a good meal.
